Lunar Solar Group review
Worth a conversation about Email / Lifecycle once the caveats below are settled.
A broad DTC growth consultancy whose Enkore division offers lifecycle, loyalty, email, SMS, subscription, and retention services.
No published price we can link to. We do not estimate one — ask on the call, and see the pricing-transparency line in the scores below.
How it scored
Every dimension is scored against this discipline’s published rubric. Open one to see the claim it was scored on, what the rubric measures there and how much it weighs, and where the evidence came from.
How we scored this
We read the agency’s public record first-hand — its site, pricing, case studies and independent reviews — and score what is checkable: what is published, not how it is phrased. There is no keyword counting or sentiment scoring. The label is a judgment on those facts, which is why each dimension shows the fact that decided it, the band it was judged against, and the sources — so you can check the call, and tell us if you think it is wrong. The full method, and who pays, is on how we vet.
Lifecycle strategy and flowsStrong
Strong — 4 of 5 on this rubric’s scale, from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). This dimension carries 22% of the total score.
Benchmark — across the 22 other agencies evaluated in this discipline, this dimension runs Excellent 10 · Strong 9 · Adequate 1 · Weak 2. The typical agency here scores Strong, and 10 of them score higher than this one.
What this dimension measures: Real lifecycle depth: segmentation, automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart/browse, post-purchase, winback, onboarding, churn), and a retention roadmap, not just batch campaigns.
Scores high — Named flow architecture and lifecycle strategy score 4-5.
Scores low — 'We'll send your newsletters' scores 1-2.
What we found — Enkore offers lifecycle, loyalty, subscription, email, SMS, push, and data services. That is the high band above, which is why it scored Strong.
On the record — “Lunar's Enkore division lists omnichannel lifecycle strategy, email and SMS management, loyalty, referral, subscription, push, and data services.” lunarsolargroup.com ↗
lifecycle — lifecycle marketing: the automated email and SMS journey across a customer’s relationship — welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back.
churn — the rate at which customers cancel.

Revenue and retention measurement (not opens)Adequate
Adequate — 3 of 5 on this rubric’s scale, from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). This dimension carries 20% of the total score.
Benchmark — across the 22 other agencies evaluated in this discipline, this dimension runs Excellent 11 · Strong 7 · Adequate 2 · Weak 2. The typical agency here scores Excellent, and 18 of them score higher than this one.
What this dimension measures: Ties email to revenue/LTV/retention (revenue per recipient, flow revenue, repeat-purchase or expansion), not open rates (dead in 2026 due to Apple MPP) or sends.
Scores high — Revenue/LTV reporting scores 4-5.
Scores low — Open-rate/send vanity scores 1-2.
What we found — The group emphasizes profitable growth, but email-specific revenue proof is limited. That is between the two bands, which is why it scored Adequate.
LTV — lifetime value: the revenue a customer generates over the whole relationship, judged against what they cost to acquire.
Evidence: vendor stated — the agency’s own claim, recorded as theirs rather than ours.
Deliverability and list healthAdequate
Adequate — 3 of 5 on this rubric’s scale, from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). This dimension carries 18% of the total score.
Benchmark — across the 22 other agencies evaluated in this discipline, this dimension runs Excellent 3 · Strong 14 · Adequate 4 · Weak 1. The typical agency here scores Strong, and 17 of them score higher than this one.
What this dimension measures: Protects sending reputation: authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC/BIMI), list hygiene and sunsetting, engagement-based sending, warmup, inbox placement monitoring.
Scores high — Real deliverability practice scores 4-5.
Scores low — Silence or blast-everyone scores 1-2.
What we found — No detailed public deliverability process was located. That is between the two bands, which is why it scored Adequate.
deliverability — deliverability: whether cold email actually lands in the inbox rather than spam. The tell is infrastructure talk — warmed sending domains kept separate from your main domain — because a burned domain outlasts the engagement.

Platform depth (Klaviyo / Iterable / Braze / HubSpot)Adequate
Adequate — 3 of 5 on this rubric’s scale, from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). This dimension carries 15% of the total score.
Benchmark — across the 22 other agencies evaluated in this discipline, this dimension runs Excellent 12 · Strong 8 · Adequate 1 · Weak 1. The typical agency here scores Excellent, and 20 of them score higher than this one.
What this dimension measures: Deep, certified expertise in the buyer's actual platform (Klaviyo for ecom; Iterable/Braze/Customer.io/HubSpot for B2B SaaS).
Scores high — Named platform partnerships/certifications matching the buyer score 4-5.
Scores low — Platform mismatch or generalist scores 2-3.
What we found — Technology-enabled delivery is clear, but platform depth is not well documented. That is between the two bands, which is why it scored Adequate.
B2B — business-to-business: selling to companies rather than consumers — longer deals, more decision-makers.
SaaS — software as a service: subscription software; as a client type it brings recurring revenue and metrics like churn and lifetime value.

What this dimension measures: On-brand, high-converting email copy and design, not template spam.
Scores high — Strong creative with conversion focus scores 4-5.
Scores low — Generic templates score 1-2.
What we found — The group has substantial creative and ecommerce execution capability. That is the high band above, which is why it scored Strong.

What this dimension measures: Ecommerce retention and B2B SaaS lifecycle are different crafts.
Scores low — Named clients matching the buyer's model/stage score 5; mismatch (ecom shop pitched for SaaS onboarding) scores 1-2.
What we found — Good fit for DTC and ecommerce brands.
B2B — business-to-business: selling to companies rather than consumers — longer deals, more decision-makers.
SaaS — software as a service: subscription software; as a client type it brings recurring revenue and metrics like churn and lifetime value.
lifecycle — lifecycle marketing: the automated email and SMS journey across a customer’s relationship — welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back.
DTC — direct-to-consumer: brands selling on their own site rather than through retailers.
Evidence: verified — checked against a named source you can open; the links under Sources below are where to check it yourself.
Contract and pricing transparencyNot disclosed
Not disclosed — 2 of 5 on this rubric’s scale, from Poor (1) to Excellent (5). Nothing was published about this, so it scores at the bottom of the scale — that is a finding about what the agency discloses, not about the quality of its work. This dimension carries 5% of the total score.
Benchmark — across the 22 other agencies evaluated in this discipline, this dimension runs Strong 7 · Adequate 7 · Weak 8. The typical agency here scores Adequate, and 14 of them score higher than this one.
Scores high — Month-to-month or short terms with a pricing anchor score 4-5.
Scores low — 12-month lock-ins score 2. Bespoke-only with no anchor scores 1-2.
What we found — No useful public pricing located. That is what the low band describes, and nothing published resolves it.
Evidence: unknown
Stronger here: Magnet Monster scores Strong on the same dimension.
Verdict
Lunar Solar Group is a plausible ecommerce retention partner, especially when email must integrate with acquisition, site optimization, loyalty, and subscription. The current group structure and service range are clear, but independent review depth, email-specific case detail, deliverability controls, and pricing are too thin for an unconditional recommendation.

What we verified
Each claim below was checked against a named source, last on 2026-07-24. Follow any of them and check for yourself — that is the point of publishing them.
- Lunar's Enkore division lists omnichannel lifecycle strategy, email and SMS management, loyalty, referral, subscription, push, and data services. lunarsolargroup.com ↗
- The group says its technology products power more than 5,000 brands and publishes current ecommerce case material. lunarsolargroup.com ↗
No independent reviews found
Broad ecommerce capability is clear, but email-specific independent evidence is thin.
Not finding one is not a mark against the agency and does not move the score. It does mean there is no third-party record to set against ours — so this verdict rests on the rubric and the sources above, and nothing else.
Red flags
- Broad group scope may dilute specialist accountability
- Thin independent buyer-review evidence
- No public pricing
What we could not verify
- Email-specific client outcomes and references
- Deliverability, suppression, and platform operating process
- Pricing, term, and assigned Enkore team
