What a paid trial is
A paid trial is a small, real project with a fixed price and a fixed deadline, agreed in writing before anyone starts work. You get something you can actually use — whether or not you hire the agency afterwards.
Why it exists
The normal way to pick an agency is a pitch. The agency does free work to win you, you watch a presentation, and you still do not know what it is like to work with them until you have signed a retainer.
A paid trial replaces that. The agency does real work and gets paid for it. You see how they actually think, communicate and deliver — before committing to anything bigger.
What is agreed up front
- Exactly what gets delivered
- What you need to provide, and by when
- The price
- The deadline
- How many rounds of changes are included
- What “done” means, so nobody argues about it later
Nothing starts until all six are written down.
It is not a free trial
You pay for it. That is the point. Free work is sales work — it is designed to win you, not to be useful. Paid work is the actual job, at a small size.
Who is responsible for what
The agency owns the work. Quality, communication, delivery — that is theirs.
Koolav holds the written scope and what was agreed. The deliverables, the inputs, the deadline, the revision rounds and the definition of done, recorded before work begins so both sides are reading the same document.
What it costs
The trial amount is set by the agency, based on the scope of the project.
You will see the price and the scope in writing before anything starts.
