Local SEO & local service ads agencies, reviewed and ranked
Getting a business found in a place — map pack, reviews, service areas, Local Services Ads. Scored on booked work, not on ranking screenshots.
17 evaluated, of which we would put 14 in front of a client and cut 3.
A map-pack position is an input, not an outcome
The screenshot of a number-one local ranking is the easiest thing in this discipline to produce and the least connected to money. It moves with the searcher’s location, it moves through the day, and it says nothing about whether the phone rang. The rubric weighs named clients with described calls, booked jobs or visits above any ranking claim.
The profile is the asset, and it can be taken with them
Local visibility accrues to a Google Business Profile and a phone number, not to a contract. An agency that owns the profile, or routes calls through a tracking number it holds, can leave with the ranking history and the review base a client spent years earning. Whether ownership transfers is a written term or it is not, so it is checkable, and it is weighted like it matters.
Reviews are where this discipline breaks the rules
Reviews are the heaviest factor in both ranking and conversion, which makes gating, incentivising and outright writing them a standing temptation — and in regulated trades, a legal problem for the business, not the agency. A published position against those practices scores; silence is scored as an absence rather than as a finding.

The terms remove the client's access to and ownership of the website on termination
A pricing page that publishes no prices
Named case studies are mostly outside the trades and carry almost no figures
How this page is built: every vendor here is scored against the published local_seo rubric — the one written for what this category actually sells, not a general agency rubric. Several of these records were first filed elsewhere and scored against a rubric they were not competing in; where that happened, the record carries a rescored_from field showing the previous verdict and score, so the change is auditable rather than silent.
