Design Shifu review
Publishes a real throughput number (one project per day, every tier), 24-hour first drafts, full copyright and source files on all plans, and prices from $549 — but paying up does not buy more concurrency, only more designers behind the same daily cap.
Pricing: several published tiers Published by the agency
Published pricing: Starter $549/mo, Growth $749/mo, Scale $1,099/mo, with annual plans at $458, $625 and $916 (two months free). source ↗
Verdict
Design Shifu answers most of the questions this rubric asks, in public, at the cheap end of the market. Throughput is stated as one project per day with 24-hour turnaround on first drafts, which is a checkable rate rather than the usual "unlimited requests" evasion — roughly twenty-odd projects a month, and a buyer can decide against that number whether the subscription fits. Rights are settled better here than almost anywhere in this category: "full copyright and IP ownership is transferred to you upon delivery" and source files are "included on all plans", not sold as an add-on the way Epipheo handles video source files. Source-file ownership is the dimension where most of this category simply stays silent, and silence is what a buyer discovers only when they try to hand the work to someone else. Scope is broad for the price — logo and branding, social, print, web, infographics, digital ads, illustration, email templates, UI/UX, plus genuine motion work (motion graphics, animation, GIFs), pitch decks and investor presentations, and Webflow and Framer support. Commercial terms are clean: three published monthly tiers at $549, $749 and $1,099, annual versions at two months free, and "pause or cancel anytime" with no contracts or cancellation fees. The structural oddity is what more money buys. Concurrency is "1 project per day" on Starter, Growth AND Scale alike. Starter includes two designers; higher tiers add "full design team access". So doubling the price does not double throughput — it changes who is available behind an unchanged daily cap. That may be the right trade if the work is varied enough to need different specialists, but a buyer scaling volume should understand they are not buying more output per day. Brand handling is asserted rather than described: "every project follows your brand kit and style guide" and "brand guidelines: followed strictly on every project" state a commitment, but no intake process and no named review step are published. That is the gap between a policy and a mechanism, and brand drift at volume is the failure that cut Design Pickle from this library.

What other platforms say
No independent review base located first-hand.
These are other platforms' numbers, not ours. We report them because they are part of the picture, and we do not average them into our score — our score comes from the published rubric above.
Red flags
- Concurrency is identical at $549 and $1,099. Higher tiers add designers, not daily output, so a buyer scaling volume is not buying what they may assume they are buying. Establish what the extra spend delivers before upgrading.
- "1 project per day" is only as meaningful as the definition of a project, which is not published. That definition is where a daily cap is quietly enforced.
How it scored
Real throughput and concurrency
"1 project per day" published, with 24-hour turnaround on first drafts — a checkable rate rather than an unlimited-requests evasion. Held to Adequate because it is a serial model and, notably, the daily cap does not increase with tier.
Designer continuity
A dedicated team rather than a shared queue, with two designers named on Starter and full design team access above. Persistent assignment, though no individual designer is guaranteed.
Scope breadth
Logo and branding, social, print, web, infographics, digital ads, illustration, email templates and UI/UX, plus real motion work — motion graphics, animation and GIFs — pitch decks, and Webflow and Framer support. No copywriting.
Brand consistency at volume
"Every project follows your brand kit and style guide" and "brand guidelines: followed strictly on every project" assert a commitment, but no intake process and no named review step are described. A brand-assets policy without a review step is what this dimension scores at 3.
Revision and rejection policy
"Unlimited revisions" at "no additional costs" is published. Whether a revision consumes the day's single project slot is not stated, and on a one-per-day cap that is materially costly if it does.
Pricing, pause and exit
Three tiers published monthly ($549, $749, $1,099) and annually at two months free, with "pause or cancel anytime", no contracts and no cancellation fees. Complete on every part of this dimension.
Source-file ownership
"Full copyright and IP ownership is transferred to you upon delivery" and source files "included on all plans" — standard rather than an add-on. The dimension most of this category leaves silent.
What we could not verify
- Whether a revision consumes the day's single project slot
- What actually improves at the Growth and Scale tiers, given the daily cap is identical
- Whether any brand intake or pre-delivery review step exists beyond the stated policy
- How "1 project" is defined and who decides when a request is more than one
- Whether an independent review base exists
