Penji review
Published pricing ($499 Starter, $995 Marketer), fast per-item turnaround and a clean record with no continuity complaints — undercut by a serial queue: one active project at a time at the entry tier, so speed per item does not translate into throughput.

Verdict
This record replaces an earlier CUT that was produced by scoring Penji against a performance-creative rubric it was never competing in; judged as a creative subscription it is a reasonable, unremarkable option. Pricing is published and legible at $499/month for Starter and $995/month for Marketer, which adds web and app design, with a faster Agency tier above. Turnaround is marketed at 24-48 hours per project and same-day at the top tier. Nothing adverse surfaced on quality or continuity during vetting, which cannot be said of everything in this category. The limitation is the queue. The entry tier runs one active project at a time, which means fast per-item delivery does not compound into throughput — twenty-four-hour turnaround on a serial queue is still one item per day at best, and a burst of work around a launch will simply form a line. Because the revision policy is unpublished, it is also unclear whether reworking a rejected item re-enters that queue, which on a single-slot model is the difference between a minor annoyance and a lost week. And as at the cheaper end generally, there is no described brand-guideline intake or check step, so consistency rests on whoever picks the item up. A fair choice for a small team with a steady, low-volume trickle of design work and a published price they can plan around. Not the vendor for concentrated bursts.

How it scored
Real throughput and concurrency
One active project at a time on the $499 Starter tier — a serial queue. Marketed 24-48 hour turnaround per project, same-day on the Agency tier, so each item is fast and items are handled one after another.
Designer continuity
No stated designer-persistence guarantee, but no documented continuity complaints surfaced either.
Scope breadth
Graphics at entry, adding web and app design at the Marketer tier.
Brand consistency at volume
No described brand-guideline intake, no check step and no stated designer persistence at entry tiers.
Revision and rejection policy
Revision policy not published; on a single-slot queue, rework re-entering the queue is materially costly.
Pricing, pause and exit
Published tiers: $499/month Starter, $995/month Marketer, with a faster Agency tier. Clear and public. Pause policy unstated.
Source-file ownership
No public statement on source-file transfer.
What we could not verify
- Concurrent project capacity at higher tiers
- Designer persistence across months
- Source-file ownership terms
- Independent review volume from a neutral platform
